A Night at Cine Perama
Public Event at the Open Ain Cinema in Perama

For the first time in 10 years, Cine Perama opens its doors for a one-night-only event and its hosts the first public presentation of the cultural project SHARING PERAMA with the works of Robert Montgomery.
SHARING PERAMA IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MUNICIPALITY OF PERAMA AND THE SUPPORT OF THE BRITISH COUNCIL, THE EMBASSY OF SWITZERLAND AND THE OUTSET CONTEMPORARY ART FUND (GREECE) ORGANISED THE FIRST PUBLIC EVENT, WITH THE TITLE A NIGHT AT CINE - PERAMA AT THE MUNICIPAL OPEN AIR CINEMA "CINE - PERAMA".
The purpose of the event, A night at Cine - Perama, was to engage with the local community and to encourage the active participation of the residents in the overall program.
The event included short film screenings by Greek and international artists: Andreas Angelidakis | Nicolas Etchenagucia | Marina Gioti | Shaun Gladwell | Dana Hoey | Ali Kazma | Nicolas Kozakis | Charalambos Margaritis | Christos Panagos, as well as the first part of the documentary SHARING PERAMA, which presented the central idea of the project, the contributors and the stages of the implementation.
During the film screenings, the audience of SHARING PERAMA met Robert Montgomery and the members of the project. In the space of “Cine-Perama" there was a light piece of the artist that stimulated various discussions about the role of art in the public space, as well as the importance of the contribution of the local community to the production of knowledge and creation.
The night ended with sounds from Asia Minor and Rebetiko songs played by four young musicians.

ΕΝΑΣ ΑΠΟ ΤΟΥΣ ΣΚΟΠΟΥΣ ΑΥΤΗΣ ΤΗΣ ΔΡΑΣΗΣ ΗΤΑΝ Η ΠΡΟΕΤΟΙΜΑΣΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΚΟΙΝΟΥ ΚΑΙ Η ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΗ ΤΟΥ ΣΕ ΑΥΤΟ ΠΟΥ ΘΑ ΕΠΑΚΟΛΟΥΘΗΣΕΙ ΣΤΟ ΑΝΟΙΧΤΟ ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟ ΘΕΑΤΡΟ ΠΕΡΑΜΑΤΟΣ ΜΙΚΗΣ ΘΕΟΔΩΡΑΚΗΣ ΤΟ 2020. ΟΙ ΑΝΘΡΩΠΟΙ ΠΟΥ ΒΡΙΣΚΟΝΤΑΝ ΕΚΕΙΝΟ ΤΟ ΒΡΑΔΥ ΣΤΟ ΣΙΝΕ ΠΕΡΑΜΑ ΚΑΙ ΣΥΝΕΙΣΦΕΡΑΝ ΣΤΗΝ ΥΛΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ ΤΟΥ, ΘΑ ΤΟ ΘΥΜΟΥΝΤΑΙ ΓΙΑ ΠΑΝΤΑ.
Και κάπως έτσι ξεκίνησε η βραδιά.
Σα να είχε γραφτεί το έργο για εκείνο το βράδυ, και για τους ανθρώπους του Περάματος...
« Φτάσαμε
Μάς κάλεσαν και ήρθαμε
Δεν μάς είπαν τον λόγο
Μάς μίλησαν
για κάτι πολύ σοβαρό
Για κάτι κρίσιμο
και επείγον
Ετσι μάς είπαν
Τούς πιστέψαμε
Ασφαλώς τους πιστέψαμε
Και ανταποκριθήκαμε αμέσως
Δεν μας είπαν ποιο είναι το σοβαρό
το κρίσιμο και επείγον
Παρ’ όλα αυτά ήρθαμε
Είμαστε
οι εκπρόσωποι των πολιτών»
Και έτσι τελειώνει:
« Πρέπει να μπούμε εκεί μέσα
Να προετοιμαστούμε
Να γίνουμε τα νέα πρόσωπα
Και όταν θα είμαστε έτοιμοι
τότε θα βγούμε
Λοιπόν;
Είστε έτοιμοι
να μπούμε; »
